What are the steps of a service visit?

A porta potty service visit has five steps: pump the holding tank with the vacuum truck, scrub the seat, urinal, floor and walls, recharge the tank with fresh water and deodorizer, restock toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and check the door, latch and vent.

  1. PumpThe truck vacuums the holding tank empty.
  2. ScrubSeat, urinal, floor and walls are cleaned and sanitized.
  3. RechargeFresh water and deodorizer go into the tank.
  4. RestockToilet paper and sanitizer; soap, towels and water for sinks.
  5. CheckDoor, latch, vent and level are inspected.

Where does porta potty waste go?

Porta potty waste is hauled in the service truck's sealed tank to a permitted wastewater treatment facility, where it is treated with other sewage. It is never dumped on site or into a home septic system, and every load is logged by the facility.

How often is each rental serviced?

Long-term porta potties are serviced once a week, included in the 28-day price. Event units arrive clean and are usually not serviced during a one-day event. Busy jobsites and multi-day festivals can add extra visits, billed at a flat per-visit price.

What can renters do between visits?

Between visits, renters can keep the door closed so the vent works, keep trash and liquids other than waste out of the tank, report a broken latch or empty paper right away, and call for an extra visit if the tank is filling faster than expected.
