How many porta potties does an event need?
An event needs about 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests when it lasts up to four hours, 1 per 40 guests for four to eight hours, and 1 per 30 guests for longer events. Add 1 unit per 100 guests when alcohol is served.

When are event units delivered and picked up?
Event porta potties are delivered the day before the event, usually Thursday or Friday for a weekend, and picked up the next business day. The extra days cost nothing because the event price is a flat rate, not a daily rate.
Morning-of delivery is possible but risky; a late truck leaves guests waiting. Multi-day festivals can add a mid-event pump-out or an on-site attendant.
Where should event porta potties be placed?
Event porta potties should sit in a well-lit cluster on level ground, close to the crowd but downwind of food, with handwashing stations at the end of the row and the accessible unit nearest the main path. Leave a lane for the service truck.

Do event units come clean?
Event porta potties come from a separate event-only fleet. Every unit is washed inside and out, sanitized, recharged with deodorizer and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer before it leaves the yard. Units are checked again on site so guests find them clean.

Race and parade routes can get units at several points along the course. Send a map with each location and the expected crowd at each.
Do I need a permit for porta potties at a public event?
Events on public streets or parks usually need approval from the city, park or event office, and they may set a minimum restroom count. Confirm before booking.
Can units be serviced during a multi-day festival?
Multi-day festivals can book mid-event pump-outs or an attendant who cleans and restocks during the event.
What happens if more people come than expected?
Call during the event and extra units are sent if the route allows. It is safer to round up when you book.
